Current TNA Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace has detailed the backstage reaction to her surprise WWE appearance.
At WWE Royal Rumble 2024, Jordynne Grace made her surprise debut for the company in the Women’s Rumble Match.
Following the show, Grace revealed that she received the phone call from TNA Wrestling’s former President Scott D’Amore to appear at WWE Royal Rumble six days before the event.
Two days before the event, Grace arrived at the Performance Center in Orlando for the official Rumble rehearsal.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Jordynne Grace discussed the reaction of the WWE roster when she entered the PC. She said:
“Everyone was completely shocked,”
“I know probably 80 percent of the girls, and they thought I signed with WWE and kept congratulating me.”
“Once I told them I wasn’t signed with WWE, they were even more shocked. It was a really cool experience.”
“I’ve been with a lot of those girls on the independent scene and in TNA, so it was a really unique experience to be with them in WWE.”
Jordynne Grace is set to defend the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Steph De Lander this Saturday, April 20 at TNA Rebellion.
