TNA Wrestling Star Reflects On WWE Release One Year Later

Former TNA Wrestling Digital Media Champion AJ Francis has reflected on his WWE release one year later.

In September 2023, AJ Francis, then known as Top Dolla, was released from his WWE contract after two stints with the company.

Upon the end of his non-compete clause, Francis hit the ground running on the independent scene as well as several notable promotions, including GCW, MLW and NWA.

Francis signed with TNA Wrestling in January 2024 where he has made his presence felt with feuds against Joe Hendry and PCO. He also won the TNA Digital Media Championship.

One year after his WWE release, AJ Francis took to Twitter to reflect on his WWE release and what he has done since then. He wrote:

A year ago I got released…

Who had a better year than me?

Don’t worry I’ll wait.

AJ Francis has also formed his own stable called “First Class” with Rich Swann and newest member KC Navarro.

Francis last wrestled in a tag team win alongside Navarro against Sinner & Saint on the September 19 edition of TNA IMPACT.
