A new report has revealed that TNA Wrestling star Jai Vidal has been granted his release from the promotion.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Sean Ross Sapp reports that Jai Vidal is no longer with TNA Wrestling after being granted his release.

The report notes that Vidal asked for and was granted the release from his contract with the company.

Vidal signed with TNA Wrestling on a multi-year deal in late 2022 with no details on how long his original contract was for. The 27 year old star has not wrestled for TNA since August when he competed in an Ultimate X qualifying match ahead of Emergence.

Vidal has only wrestled four matches for the promotion in 2024, and has only won one match since splitting from his faction with Gisele Shaw and Savannah Evans.

The report also notes that those in TNA claimed that Vidal expressed frustration over the creative process, among other things.

Vidal got press when he signed with the promotion as the first openly gay wrestler in TNA, but he told people in the company that he felt like him stressing the importance for representation wasn’t reciprocated.

WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Jai Vidal being granted his release from TNA Wrestling when they become available.
