Trish Stratus has revealed that she trained with current TNA Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champion Jody Threat ahead of her WWE return.
The February 1, 2025 WWE Royal Rumble match saw Stratus return to the ring, entering the match in the #25 spot.
Highlights from the match can be seen below this news story, with Nia Jax being the one to eliminate the WWE Hall of Famer.
Stratus has now shared footage showing her training to return to the ring under the guidance of Jody Threat.
The video was shared on Twitter and can be seen below this news story, with Stratus writing:
“I’m not gonna give 60%, 100% or I’m not gonna do it.
“Check out @JodyThreat helping me get Rumble ready!!”
In the short video, we discover that there’s a storm storm happening at 9.30pm on a Tuesday night, but Stratus wanted be ready for her return and called upon the services of Threat.
Stratus sets out her vision for her return, reflected on the last match she had in WWE at Payback in September 2023 against Becky Lynch in a steel cage, saying:
“Last match was a cage match, so when you leave that impression, the thing in my mind was like I don’t wanna give 60%. 100% or I don’t wanna do it.”
With Threat guiding Stratus through warm-ups the WWE Hall of Famer would reveal she can’t see anything without her glasses.
We’d then get footage of Stratus going through the paces at The Treadmill Factory before she reflects on a momentous anniversary in wrestling, saying:
“Twenty-five years, man. Quarter of a century. I’m literally wrestling with (wrestlers) and like I could be their mom! Come to mommy, b**ches.”
Threat would share that it means a lot that she was the one Stratus trusted to work with her on the WWE return.
Stratus would go on to say that the pair clicked a long time ago, suggesting that she has worked with Threat during her multiple comebacks.
Ahead of the Royal Rumble, Stratus had discussed a potential WWE return for her twenty-fifth anniversary.
Threat is in her second reign as TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion, holding the title with Dani Luna.
