Amid a major restructuring effort behind-the-scenes in TNA Wrestling, several high-level departures have been confirmed.
Earlier today it was reported that Josh Matthews had departed TNA Wrestling after 10 years in the company.
While most known for his announcing roles in TNA and in WWE beforehand, Matthews had been more recently serving as TNA’s Senior Producer and Senior Director of Digital Media, with his exit one of several big changes within the company at an executive level on February 12 according to PWInsider.
TNA Wrestling President Anthony Cicione has reportedly exited his role after a year, but will be remaining as a part of TNA’s parent company Anthem.
Fellow WWE alum Christy Hemme has reportedly departed her role in charge of TNA’s social media division and has exited the company altogether along with Josh Matthews.
According to Fightful Select, Matthews and Hemme will be effectively replaced by George Veras, who’s joining in an Executive Producer role, and Andrea Pagnanelli, who is joining as SVP of Marketing.
PWInsider later added that Veras is set to put together his own team, having previously held positions at NBC, CBS and ABC Sports.
Another big change reported by PWInsider is Mark Brown joining the company as the new Director of TNA.
Brown had previously held the same role in Ring of Honor, while also having experience working in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
While there were not reported to be any changes to TNA’s creative division, the most recent update from PWInsider has revealed that two existing names have been promoted within Talent Relations.
John E. Bravo and Ingrid Isley have both joined the department, with the former previously worked behind the camera in a variety of roles, while Isley was most recently the Floor Manager for TNA events.
We will provide further updates on the changes within TNA Wrestling as more information becomes available.
