With WWE and TNA Wrestling now enjoying an official multi-year partnership together, familiar faces to fans of both companies have been crossing over between NXT and iMPACT on a weekly basis.
While signed TNA talent such as Moose and The Hardys are set to play a big role on future NXT programming, Fightful Select has learned of a former TNA name that recently underwent a tryout for a role with WWE.
According to the report former TNA backstage interviewer Sam Leterna tried out for WWE in late 2024, as the company seeks new additions to their broadcast team.
Unfortunately there was no word on whether WWE had plans to bring Leterna in following her tryout, however, a WWE source did “put over” her professionalism and potential to Fightful.
The report notes that Leterna has “maintained a good reputation within the wrestling industry for her work”, having previously also worked with NWA, Major League Wrestling and Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.
Leterna joined TNA in early 2024 when the company rebranded from iMPACT Wrestling back to TNA Wrestling, but would later announce her departure in September.
