Following former WWE Women’s Champion Gail Kim exiting TNA Wrestling, Jim Ross has expressed interest in her joining AEW.
On March 25, 2025, Kim was among a number of TNA Wrestling departures, alongside Ariel Shnerner, Rob Klingman and Michael Shewchenko.
Kim had re-joined TNA Wrestling in October 2011, going on to become a producer, creative team member and part of the leadership team.
With all these skills at her disposal, Jim Ross believes that she would be an asset to AEW.
Speaking on Grilling JR, Jim Ross shared his thoughts on Gail Kim, saying he would endorse her to AEW’s Tony Khan, stating:
“I would endorse that. If Tony Khan asked me my thoughts on the matter, I would suggest, ‘Go for it,’ because she’s very valuable and does a great job.
“I have great respect for Gail Kim, and her reputation speaks for itself. She gets results. She’s very good at working with talent.
“So no, I’m a big Gail Kim fan, and she should not be unemployed for long in my world.”
Kim’s first run in TNA Wrestling ran from September 2005 to August 2008, after which she would return to WWE.
Having competed in WWE between October 2002 and November 2004, she would return to the company in late 2008 before departing in September 2011 following her contract expiring.
