TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry made his in-ring WWE debut on NXT and has received praise from Hall of Famer JBL.
Hendry’s NXT appearance has become WWE’s most liked Twitter video since WrestleMania 40 and can be seen below this news story.
JBL has weighed in on Hendry’s debut, calling the Scot and his music videos ” the greatest thing I’ve seen in years”, tweeting:
“I never thought anything would equal “Rap is Cr*p” by the West Texas Rednecks, but @joehendry
has done it.
“This is the greatest thing I’ve seen in years, I have spent the morning watching his videos and can’t love them enough.
“I have to have Joe write my comeback music. #IbelieveinJoeHendry”
‘Rap is Cr*p’ was written by Jimmy Hart & Howard Helm and was performed by Curt Hennig, Barry & Kendall Windham and Bobby Duncum, Jr, collectively known as the West Texas Rednecks.
The track was officially released and was played on radio in the south and also on WCW television, including ‘live’ performances from the West Texas Rednecks.
The faction debuted in June 1999 and would split under two years later in January 2001.
Joe Hendry reacted to his elimination from the NXT Championship No. 1 Contender Battle Royal by confronting Shawn Michaels backstage who, it turns out, would also believe in the TNA Wrestling star.
He has also opened up about the reaction he received from the NXT fans on the show.
With WWE NXT sources being reportedly ‘very happy’ with Hendry’s reaction, it has recently been reported that he is expected to make further appearances.
Having previously worked for Impact Wrestling in 2018, Hendry made his return in October 2022.
Since his return, he has been TNA Digital Media Champion, holding the title for a record-breaking 266 days.
