TNA Wrestling star Joe Hendry has credited Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes for the impact on his career.
On the June 18 edition of WWE NXT, former TNA Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry made his debut for the company in the 25-man number one contender’s battle royal.
The debut led to massive social media numbers for WWE and Hendry as it became the most viewed tweet for the company on Twitter of 2024 so far.
On the latest edition of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Joe Hendry discussed working with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes during his time in WhatCulture Pro Wrestling. Explaining how Rhodes made an impact on his career. he said:
“The deal was done in five minutes and all of this happened because of that call because I wouldn’t have got to TNA if I didn’t have, I did the first ROH show back with the new ownership and so if I hadn’t of had my time in Ring of Honor I learned so much there, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing right now, so I definitely owe Cody Rhodes a cigar for sure,”
Hendry also expressed his appreciation of Cody’s kindness towards him, explaining that he didn’t need to refer him to Ring of Honor when he did.
Joe Hendry will compete for the TNA World Championship for the first time when he faces Moose, Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, Nic Nemeth and Frankie Kazarian on Saturday, July 20 at TNA Slammiversary.
