Two stars have revealed their crossover plans for a WWE championship, ahead of their upcoming match for the gold.
Former two-time NXT Tag Team Champions Wes Lee – currently signed to WWE – and Zachary Wentz – currently with TNA Wrestling – want to defend the titles in both WWE and TNA.
On the July 23 edition of WWE NXT, The Rascalz defeated Axiom, Nathan Frazer and Je’Von Evans in a trios main event.
The finish saw Wentz pin one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions in Axiom after The Rascalz brought up how the MSK duo of Wentz and Lee being one of the best tag teams in NXT history.
On the July 30 NXT Great American Bash Night 1 special, The Rascalz’ Treehouse segment made its debut in WWE where the three friends discussed their win and challenging for the NXT Tag Team Championship.
During the segment, Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz stated their goal of regaining the NXT Tag Team Titles and defending them in WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling.
Lee and Wentz never lost the NXT Tag Team Championship after Wentz was released from his WWE contract in April 2022.
Axiom and Nathan Frazer agreed to the title match, which was officially announced for next Tuesday’s NXT Great American Bash Night 2 special.
