A former WWE star now on the TNA Wrestling roster has reacted to his ex-faction being referenced during tonight’s NXT.
Tonight’s episode of WWE NXT began with an in-ring segment from Trick Williams although he was soon interrupted first by Cedric Alexander and then Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis.
With a verbal exchange between the trio ensuing, one line in particular caught the attention of fans and involved parties alike.
When Trick Williams referenced Ashante’s former Hit Row faction in a mocking way, another former Hit Row member AJ Francis (formerly known as Top Dolla in WWE) has responded.
Francis questioned why people continue to be “talking about ME everytime y’all talking to Ashante?’
He would go on to ask, “That’s not corny to yall?” before adding the #WWENXT hashtag.
Francis has recently commented that while he is focused on maximizing his time in TNA Wrestling, he hasn’t entirely closed the door to a WWE return with the recent crossovers between companies.
He referenced having spoken to Triple H recently, although didn’t divulge additional details.
