WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentator Booker T believes The Hurt Business having a reunion in TNA would be a “win-win.”
As previously reported, former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is reportedly set to leave the company soon following the expiration of his contract.
Meanwhile, Lashley’s former manager MVP is also set to leave the promotion when his contract expires this summer.
Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer then reported that Lashley and MVP were planning to reunite The Hurt Business stable with Shelton Benjamin and possibly join AEW, which you can read here.
Speaking on The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed the potential future of The Hurt Business following Bobby Lashley and MVP’s expected WWE departures. He said:
“We’re talking about perhaps the next move for Bobby Lashley, what’s the next move for MVP, Shelton Benjamin. Are these guys gonna end up All Elite as the new and improved Hurt Business?”
“Or are they gonna go to TNA and create the Hurt Business over there? Just imagine if they did go there and perhaps it’d be Shelton, MVP, they add Moose.”
“Then you got the new Hurt Business, new and improved, new power generation Hurt Business.”
“The reason I say that is because it’s not so saturated in TNA, where these guys will be seen and highlighted on a weekly basis. That’s what I see.”
“Like I said, of course, they can end up in AEW, and of course, they probably would make a whole lot more money in AEW.”
“But if done right, in TNA, the money would be there for them because they would still be able to go out and work and do other projects and do other things and be able to build something like that. For me, I don’t know, I think that’s a win-win situation over there,”
It remains to be seen what’s next for Bobby Lashley, MVP and The Hurt Business at the time of this writing.
